Your Privacy is Important. This corporation and its employees understand your privacy is important. This notice is in accordance with applicable state and federal laws and because you are a current or potential customer of one of the MileOne affiliated companies. This notice will help you understand what types of nonpublic personal information - information about you that is not publicly available -- we may collect, how we use it and how we protect your privacy.

We collect nonpublic personal information to process and administer our customers' business and to ensure that we are satisfying their financial needs. These needs include the purchase of parts, services, certain service contracts and purchases of vehicles.

We have policies and procedures in place to protect both public and non-public personal information about our customers.

We do not sell public or non-public information about our customers or potential customers to or with third parties that are not affiliated with MileOne.

We do not disclose any public or non-public personal information about any of our customers to anyone, except as permitted by law.

We do provide certain information about our customers to vendors who prepare mailings directed to our customers about our services. We have protected our customers' rights by requiring all such vendors to contractually protect our lists and to limit the use of our lists to only the purposes we direct them to conduct.

Our privacy Policy applies to both current and past customers. Our Privacy Policy does not apply to third party Websites that may be accessible through mileone.com. We encourage you to read the privacy policies of these third parties.

What types of information does MileOne collect about our customers?

MileOne's employees, representatives, agents and third parties may collect public and non-public personal information about our customers, including, but not limited to:

  • Information provided to us, such as applications and other forms.
  • Information about transactions with us, our affiliates or third parties.
  • Information from other, such as credit reporting agencies, employers, state and federal agencies.

The types of information that MileOne collects about its customers may vary in accordance with the products and services applied for or provided and may include, for example: account balances, income, assets, insurance carriers and premiums, credit reports, marital status and payment histories. We may also collect other nonpublic information for insurance companies which could include health information, like medical reports, if the information is necessary to have an insurance policy underwritten or to perform other insurance related functions.

What does MileOne do to protect the information you provide us?

We restrict access to public and non-public information to those employees, agents, representative or third parties who need to know the information to provide products, services or warranty protection to our customers.

We have policies and procedures that give direction to our employees, and agents and representatives acting on our behalf, regarding how to protect and use public and non-public personal information.

We maintain physical, electronic and procedural safeguards to protect the information public and non-public information.

With whom does MileOne share public and/or non-public personal information, and why?

Mile one does not share non-public information about our customers with anyone, including other affiliated MileOne companies or third parties, except as permitted by law.

MileOne may disclose, as allowed by law, all types of information we collect when needed, to:

  • affiliated MileOne companies, agents, employees, representatives and third parties that market our services and products and administer and service customer accounts on our behalf; or
  • manufacturers and/or financial institutions with whom we have joint marketing agreements.

Examples of the types of companies that we may disclose either public or non-public personal information to may include: attorneys, manufacturers, warranty administrators, warranty companies, banks, trustees, third-party administrators, insurance agents, insurance companies, insurance support organizations, credit reporting agencies, registered brokers/dealers, auditors, regulators, transfer agents, and re-insurers.

We will not share any health related personal information to anyone other than the insurance carrier authorized by our customer unless presented a valid subpoena issued by a court or unless the law requires the disclosure.

If you prefer that we not disclose non-public information about you to non-affiliated third parties, you may opt out of those disclosures, that is, you may direct us not to make those disclosures (other than disclosure permitted by law). If you wish to opt out of disclosures to non-affiliated third parties you may simply e-mail us and request to "Opt Out" at info@mileone.com.

Will MileOne's Privacy Policy ever change?

MileOne reserves the right to change any of its policies and procedures at any time, in accordance with applicable state and federal laws. If this policy ever changes, you will receive appropriate written notice to be mailed to you.
