Heritage Auto Group, a MileOne division will be donating a new, 2014 Mazda 6 on behalf of the American Cancer Society's "Relay for Life". MileOne Automotive has donated a vehicle as the Regional Sponsor to the American Cancer Society for over 14 years. Vehicles are donated to help the Society celebrate cancer survivorship and raise funds for the nonprofit organization's cancer research and patient service. This year's donated vehicle will be a 2014 Mazda 6 from the Heritage Auto Group.

Heritage Auto Group has 16 dealerships throughout the state of Maryland. They have three Mazda locations throughout the Baltimore area including Bel Air, Owings Mills and Towson. "The torque of a V8. The efficiency of a hybrid. And sophistication that outstrips its class. The all-new 2014 Mazda6 isn't just any sports sedan," posted by MazdaUSA.com. The online press is also having high remarks about the all-new 2014 Mazda6, " …it drives well, looks fantastic, and returns significantly better fuel economy while being faster," posted by Edmunds.com.

More than 50 Relay for Life events are held each year to honor and remember those affected by cancer, encourage early detection of the disease and support legislative issues related to cancer. This year's 2013 raffle drawing for the winner will take place on Friday, June 14th, 2013 at Joppatowne High School in Joppatowne, Maryland. The MileOne family from executive leadership to the sales team is very excited for this year Relay's and raffle drawing. They all show tremendous support and passion for the cause. Over the years, the car raffles have raised over $2 million dollars in the fight against cancer.

This year will be the second year MileOne will take part in all of the ACS events without our number one advocate, Jerry Fader, late President and Chief Operating Officer of MileOne Automotive for he lost his running fight with cancer in November. ACS was a personal passion of his and his excitement and drive influenced all of his employees. This will also be the second year, John Young, Internet Manager at Heritage Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram VW in Parkville will be speaking on behalf of MileOne Automotive. He is an active volunteer with Camp Sunrise, a camp for pediatric cancer patients, in remembrance of his son Jarrett Young who passed away in Jan 2005 after his courageous 10 year battle with cancer. He knows that Jerry Fader's shoes are very big to fill out but MileOne is proud to have him represent them.

In tribute to Jerry Fader, MileOne is proud to announce that for the second time in over 7 years of being a Flag Ship Sponsor for ACS Making Strides, MileOne will continue to keep the 2012 'Cup of Hope' Award at the Mileone office. This award is for the Flag Ship Sponsor that raised the most money for ACS Making Strides Against Breast Cancer, another event Jerry took very seriously and was strongly involved with. MileOne Automotive raised $54,670 in donations in 2011 and $60,000 donations in 2012 to go toward ACS Making Strides Against Breast Cancer. As a 2-Peat 'Cup of Hope' Award Winner we will continue to rally our employees to raise as many funds as we can and keep raising awareness to help find a cure.

MileOne Automotive is committed to driving out cancer and celebrating more birthdays! "The MileOne family is committed to giving back to the community, and we are proud to partner with the American Cancer Society to increase cancer awareness and raise dollars for fighting the disease," stated Jerry Fader in 2011, late President and Chief Operating officer of MileOne Automotive.

About The American Cancer Society
The American Cancer Society combines an unyielding passion with nearly a century of experience to save lives and end suffering from cancer. As a global grassroots force of more than three million volunteers, we fight for every birthday threatened by every cancer in every community. We save lives by helping people stay well by preventing cancer or detecting it early; helping people get well by being there for them during and after a cancer diagnosis; by finding cures through investment in groundbreaking discovery; and by fighting back by rallying lawmakers to pass laws to defeat cancer and by rallying communities worldwide to join the fight. As the nation's largest non-governmental investor in cancer research, contributing more than $3.4 billion, we turn what we know about cancer into what we do. As a result, more than 11 million people in America who have had cancer and countless more who have avoided it will be celebrating birthdays this year. To learn more about us or to get help, call us any time, day or night, at 1-800-227-2345 or visit cancer.org. For cancer news in your community, visit sacancernews.org.
