MileOne is an official corporate sponsor for the 2008 Dragon Boat Races on Saturday, September 13, 2008 in Baltimore’s Inner Harbor!
The Dragon Boat Race is a charitable event to fund Catholic Charities relief and social communal services around Baltimore. Since its introduction in 1998, Catholic Charities Dragon Boat Races has proved to be one of the premier team building events in the Greater Baltimore Community.
We are proud to once again be reaching out to our community and are asking that all MileOne employees participate in the festivities. This event will allow you so show your support for the programs that serve Baltimore everyday. With the money earned from all participating sponsors Catholic Charities will help those less fortunate.
Our MileOne Dragon Boat team for 2008 has been picked and will begin practices starting July 8th and running every Tuesday until the big race on September 13, 2008.
If you missed your chance to be one of the paddlers this year, please stay tuned for more information on how you can become involved in this great charitable event. There are many other great activities on race day to participate in. All employees may contribute to Race day events such as the tent decorating contest, team chant contest and the hat decorating contest.
We invite all employees and their families to join us on race day to show support and enjoy the fun. Children especially can have a great time watching the boats, silly team hats, helping with the team chant and visiting the different tents.
